“A good workflow is essential for meeting high expectations”.

The colour grading service

  • Video editing workstation with three monitors displaying video timelines, color grading tools, and a video scene, accompanied by an editing control surface with trackballs and a keyboard with backlight, on a wooden desk.

    Primary Corrections

Fixing discrepancies between shots or finding an initial neutral balance, this phase of colour grading usually gets an image most of the way to looking its best.

All work is done on professionally calibrated OLED monitors so you can be assured that your images are starting from a bullseye.

  • Close-up of a Blackmagic Mini control panel.

    Secondary Corrections

This pass adds the polish to the images, where we can adjust isolated elements of an image. This can entail many options such as relighting, adding density to individual hues, adjusting brand colours, face refinement or even object removal.

This pass is essential especially for drama and commercials.

  • A computer music production setup with multiple monitors displaying audio editing and color grading software, a keyboard, control surfaces, and associated equipment.

    Look Development

The final pass of the process is all about creating a unique look for your film. This can be simple split toning or as complicated as print film emulation and creating lens characteristics.

This pass adds flavour and richness to the film to ensure it stands out for the right reasons.

  • Blackmagic Cloud logo with a blue cloud icon and the words 'Blackmagic Cloud' on a black background.

    Workflow

We utilise Blackmagic Cloud to work in an entirely collaborative way online. This facilitates the colour grading process allowing us to grade even as the film is being edited and provide an online platform for review sessions and file sharing. The price for this can be included in the quote.
