Visible Mending - BAFTA Nominated Short film

Last year I had the pleasure of working on a stop motion animation for Samantha Moore from the Royal College of Art.

The film is a documentary about the importance of knitting in different peoples lives and despite its beautiful appearance covers some very dark topics.

The colour grade was done in a supervised session with Samantha and her producer Tilley Bancroft and involved using frequency separation to bring out the texture of the animated knitted characters.

A big shout out to the guys at Second Home studios for the wonderful job done on the animation.

The BAFTA nomination was richly deserved and led to the New York Times featuring the film and opening leads for the production team across the Atlantic. I hope to work with all concerned again on another film this coming December.
